Job Summary

The purpose of the Director for Football Operations job is to ensure the University assets are protected through applicable external and internal regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Football Coach with the day-to-day management and administration of all aspects of the Football staff and team as allowed by NCAA rules; including, but not limited to
  • Coordinating all aspects of team travel
  • Assisting with camps and clinics
  • Daily support for football coaches
  • Assisting with pre-season camp
  • Coordinate bowl operations
  • Oversight and coordination of the weekly Quarterback Club luncheons for donors and other University and community guests
  • Oversight and coordination of team meals for home games, weekends, and University holidays/breaks
  • Help ensure an environment that is committed to the best interests of all student-athletes consistent with their educational, ethical, social, and physical development.
  • Foster a commitment to diversity and inclusiveness throughout all levels of the organization.
  • Develop a clear vision and strategic plan for the department that will ensure the Departments’ success in being fiscally responsible while complying with all University regulations along with state and federal laws.
  • Understand and communicate the value of athletics to the overall mission and strategic plan of the University to both internal and external constituencies.
  • Effectively provide accountability for all matters within the department of athletics in collaboration with the Athletics Director.
  • Additional duties as assigned by Director of Athletics or Head Football Coach.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advance degree preferred
  • Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
  • Strong communication skills and an ability to work effectively with multiple constituent groups.
  • Unwavering commitment to fiscal integrity and responsibility along with a proven record of upholding high ethical standards both personally and professionally.
  • Demonstrated commitment to inclusion, community, diversity, and gender equity.
  • Must demonstrate an appreciation of university culture and tradition.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
