Intercollegiate Athletics
Reports to the Head Men’s Basketball Coach and Director of Athletics. Assist the Head Men’s Basketball Coach with various aspects of the varsity basketball program; i.e., coaching, recruiting, scheduling, camps/clinics, and game/practice management and fundraising. The assistant men’s basketball coach will adhere to RMAC rules, regulations, and NCAA Division II bylaws. In addition, the assistant men’s basketball coach will represent MSU Denver in a positive manner and continue to uphold the program’s philosophies and the athletic department’s core values.

40% – Coaching – Assist head coach in coaching team 20% – Recruiting 10% – Scheduling 10% – Game/Practice management 20% – Supervision of student-athletes.

Recruiting Coordinator (Organization of official visits, NCAA IRL updating, etc....)
Academic Coordinator (Class registration, study table, class attendance, and progress toward graduation)
Travel Coordinator (Charter setup, hotel reservations, meals, shoot around times, etc…)
Assist Head Coach in the organization of Summer Camps and Clinics (Team Camps & Individual Camps)
Assist Head Coach in coaching team (Practice planning, individual workouts, game strategy, scouting reports, etc…)
Other duties as assigned.

College coaching experience
Knowledge of NCAA Rules
Must possess computer literacy.
Salary for Announcement
Under Colorado law, MSU Denver is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role and should not offer a salary outside of the range posted in this job announcement. This range takes into account a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, analysis of internal equity, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be offered a salary at or near the top of the range for a position. Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience.
The salary range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position is $50,000-$55,000.
This position is paid monthly and is eligible for MSU Denver benefits.
