Dedicated and detail-oriented assistant coach will support the women’s tennis program at the University of South Carolina by assisting with coaching, recruiting, and providing essential logistical support to the Head and Associate Head Coaches. This position will ensure the daily operations of the program run effectively.

| Qualifications |
Bachelor’s degree. Strong knowledge of college tennis and experience as a college tennis player preferred. Proficiency with MS Office, Excel, and Teamworks/Arms preferred. Knowledge of NCAA guidelines and regulations related to intercollegiate athletics preferred. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage time effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to string racquets or the desire to learn how to string racquets is a plus.

Assist with coaching student-athletes at team and individual practice sessions and during team competitions. Travel with teams and build positive relationships with student-athletes and their parents. Assist with set up for team practice. Facilitate communication between coaching staff and student-athletes regarding event schedules, meal planning, and transportation details in conjunction with team travel and team events.

Work closely with the Head and Associate Head Coach, provide support in planning, organizing, and executing tennis matches, tournaments, and events for USC’s women’s tennis program. For away matches, contact on-site personnel as needed to communicate the necessary preparations for the team. Ensure compliance with NCAA and institutional regulations at all times and proactively address any potential risks associated with travel or event operations. Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices for more efficient operations. Track expenditures and manage costs effectively.
