The Rutgers Division of Intercollegiate Athletics sponsors 24 intercollegiate sports, comprised of 14 women’s and 10 men’s programs, that compete at the Division I level. The Scarlet Knights are members of the prestigious Big Ten Conference, the nation’s premier academic and athletic conference, after officially joining the league on July 1, 2014. Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking an Accounting Assistant II for Athletics. The position will report to the Asst. AD for Finance within the Athletics Business Office.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
The position will assist in general accounting and Procurement (P2P) functions including the vendor management, processing of purchase orders, invoices, facilitating credit card payments, and the like.
Being the main point of contact for Facilities and Operations for the Athletics Business Office.
The role will also assist with the management of Game Contracts, working with all necessary support groups to see the full process of contracts through to the end, while tracking and reconciling all payments made.

| Minimum Education and Experience |
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience preferably acquired in an athletic business operation.

- Valid driver’s license

| Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities |
- Must possess strong computer, oral and written communication skills with a working knowledge of computer systems.

| Preferred Qualifications |
- Experience with Excel, Oracle Cloud and Procurement systems is preferred.
- Prefer some experience in a relevant accounting role and/or knowledge of NCAA policies and procedures.

Immunization Requirements
Under Policy 60.1.35 Immunization Policy for Rutgers Employees and Prospective Employees, Rutgers University requires all prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption.
