Provides detailed administrative support to the Head Basketball Coach and three assistant coaches. Provides support to the administrative staff for Basketball Operations, the strength and conditioning coach and graduate managers. Directs student assistants. Performs other duties as assigned.
25% - Essential - Budget Development and Compliance:
Develops and monitors compliance with annual budgets; consults with Director of Operations and Head Coach regarding the needs of the department and prepares funding requests. Reviews monthly reports from business office to monitor spending and availability of funds. Monitors office supplies and processes paperwork to order supplies as needed.
25% - Essential - Travel Coordination
Coordinates transportation and flight schedules both commercial and charter plane for coaches and administrative staff. Submits travel expenses reports to include mileage, meals, and lodging expenses for reimbursement. Processes contact and evaluation reports for compliance office with required information when the Head Coach and three Assistant Coaches are recruiting. Maintains specialized records of recruiting trips and generates reports to compliance when requested.
20% - Essential - Administrative Coordination: Coordinates Head Coach's and Director of Operations personal calendar to include meetings, speaking engagements and appointments. Maintains confidential files for Head Coach, three Assistant Coaches, team member's individual files, and general files, including personal data, correspondence, travel, rules and regulations, etc. Composes and replies to general and non-routine correspondence for Head Coach and three Assistant Coaches, including letters, faxes, dictations, and email that does not require personal attention of the coaches. Assists staff with general computer questions, maintenance of the printer/ink and phone setup.
15% - Essential - Special Event Coordination:
Plans and coordinates personal activities for the basketball team and staff, including Alumni Weekend, Team Banquet, Senior Day, Occasional Meals, Tiger Wonderland, Fishing with the Tigers, Camps, Clinics, etc. Supervises student workers who help with events and general office work.
15% - Essential - Recruiting Coordination:
Coordinates travel, hotel and meals for prospects and their parents on official visits to the University. Completes pre- and post-trip paperwork and corresponds with compliance to ensure NCAA rules are followed. Prepares forms and assigns tickets for official and unofficial visits by prospects, coaches or special guests to basketball games and other Clemson University sporting events.
Education - High School or Equivalent - A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the related work experience.
Work Experience - 3+ years

Standard Hours: 37.5
Band: 04 ($ 33,340.00 - $ 61,680.00)
Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.
Normal Operations
Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected work on-site during emergency situations.
