The mission of the NC State University Department of Athletics is to prepare student-athletes to compete at the highest level and to inspire them to be leaders now and for the future by providing the best environment to achieve their athletic, academic, and personal aspirations as well as providing support for the professional development of our coaches and staff, all within the role of the greater institutional relationships to the University.
This position serves as administrative support for the Business Office for the NC State Athletics Department. The primary duties for this position are listed below:
Provide excellent customer service to the staff and vendors. Proper receipt of credit card payments, checks,, update image database and record deposits on spreadsheets. Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and productivity in the work environment.
Process biweekly payroll.(Approximately 150-200 employees at various times throughout the Academic year.) Process monthly payroll timesheets. Ensure that all payroll deadlines are met.
Process all telecommunication needs. Work with ComTech and Verizon to place work orders, trouble-shoot & resolve problems. Order new equipment for landline & mobile use. Update Verizon My Business software & review monthly Verizon invoice. Utilize tracking software & serve as point of contact for IT staff.
Assist in processing of invoices for payment using Peoplesoft Financial system according to
NCSU
& State procedures. Process invoices received into the Business Offices and deliver to Accounts Payable within three business days. Enter journal vouchers for clearing account and scan deposit documentation.
Review and verify Financial Asset Management System. Follow procedures to properly surplus property for the department. Provide backup support for other office duties as needed. Complete inventory two weeks prior to inventory deadline date.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalency and one year of related office experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.

- Prior experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Business applications.
