Description of Job Duties and Responsibilities

 Fairmont State University is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Assistant Coach for Acrobatics & Tumbling to support the growth and success of our

NCAA

Division II program. The ideal candidate will assist the Head Coach in all aspects of program management, including training, recruiting, academic support, and meet preparation. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Reports to the Head Acrobatics & Tumbling Coach;

Serves as a role model to players in character, personal fitness, integrity, respect and loyalty;

Demonstrates high energy, enthusiasm and a positive attitude when in A&T environment;

Ensures development of positive, productive and effective relationships with athletes;

Develops appropriate plan for and implements skills development for athletes;

Ensures clear communication in all applicable areas to the Head Coach and coaching colleagues;

Coordinates group and position meetings (through staff) as assigned and as appropriate;

Builds practice plans for athletes;

Oversees/manages individual drill work for athletes;

Grades and evaluates athletes and performance and makes adjustments accordingly;

Demonstrates character and integrity in recruiting and abides by all institutional,

NCATA

and

NCAA

rules;

Fulfills all recruiting assignments and work;

Assists or leads in any fundraising events assigned by Coach or Athletic Director; and,

Performs related duties as assigned or as necessary.

2-years coaching experience, preferably at the collegiate level.
