Job Summary:
The Assistant Athletics Director (AD) for Facilities and Events (AADFE) is responsible for planning and executing all athletics events to ensure compliance with NCAA and PacWest policies and protocols. ?The AADFE may also serve as liaison to visiting teams and officials to ensure events and game day operations are carried out properly and professionally. ??
The AADFE will spearhead and manage all Athletics Department Fundraising events. This will include all annual fundraising events for the department as well as team fundraising events to ensure proper documentation of donations/fundraising revenue/checks and electronic payments received are properly coded.
Location: This is a full-time on-site position, located at St. Francis in downtown Honolulu.

Desired Qualifications: - Master’s Degree - Demonstrated commitment to rules/policy compliance - Fundraising experience with documented results - Knowledge of the NCAA Division II rules
Other Qualifications: - Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship and relocation allowance is not available for this position. - Report to work obligations to support the department and may require work during HPU’s winter break, if necessary. - Must meet training and background check qualifications and comply with the Protection of Minors policy. - Upon hire, candidate must have reliable personal transportation to facilitate travel between to all HPU worksites and other locations as required by the position. This includes a valid driver’s license and a personal vehicle that is legally registered and insured. - Able to work all shifts and extended hours - Successful candidate will be able to work in an environment that utilize excellent time and stress management skills. - Regular, reliable, non-disruptive attendance is essential for this position as is the ability to create and maintain collegial harmonious working relationships with others.
Key Responsibilities/Essential Job Functions: 1. Plan and execution Athletics Events: 50% - Work closely with (Sports Information Director) SID and other event managers to prepare and host athletics events - Prepare the facility for events and work with coaches on facility needs/repairs - Assist with game day preparations - Travel and supervise game day events as needed at off campus facilities - Work with and include HPU Facilities staff when needed - Stay informed about PacWest protocols to ensure compliance
2. Plan and spearhead Athletics Department Fundraising Events: 40%
3. Perform other related duties as assigned (5%) - Actively participates as an effective member of team by completing assigned duties, accepting additional assignments or reassignments. - Assists with seasonal peaks.
