Job Description:

Siena College, a NCAA Division I institution and member of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference is seeking an assistant advisor for student athlete development.  This is a full time 10-month position that reports to the Assistant Athletic Director/Advising. Responsibilities include assisting with the implementation of a comprehensive advising program to include monitoring academic progress of student-athletes including NCAA progress toward degree requirements. The assistant advisor will work with selected teams and student athletes to help them manage their academic commitment and athletic obligation. The assistant will help with registration, administer department study hall and tutoring services and work closely with the Office of Academic Affairs, faculty advisors, and other student support services on campus. The advisor will coordinate the department's S.A.IN.T.S./Life Skills program. 

Annual Salary for this 10-month position: $51,960.00- Months off will be December 15 to January 15 and the month of June.

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree
• Over one year of relevant experience
• Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) with student-athletes, coaches, staff and faculty.
• Possess strong organizational skills with attention to detail; and proficient in Word and Excel - familiarity with Banner, Degree Works and EAB Navigate360 a plus
• A background screening will be required.
