Black Hills State University is seeking applicants for an Assistant Athletic Director for Events & Operations position in the Athletics department. DUTIES:· Coordinating/scheduling all events hosted in the university’s athletics facilities and issuing relevant contracts/agreements.· Coordinating/directing/performing all aspects of event management for all events held in BHSU athletics facilities, including events hosted by BHSU athletics as well as third party events/rentals.· Scheduling/performing maintenance as needed within all BHSU athletics facilities.· Ensuring the financial viability of the Young Center to include fitness memberships, third party events/rentals, staffing, etc.· Other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:· Bachelor’s degree.· 1-3 years’ experience.· Knowledge of event planning, facilities management, budgeting and internal processes.· Ideal candidates will have excellent communication skills (both oral and written), work well with a team, assist across all areas of athletics and collaborate with campus and community partners.
