SECTION II – THE SEAT

Every seat is vital and the individual in the seat contributes significantly to our mission of providing an affordable and accessible education and forming meaningful and mutually enriching partnerships that support the well-being and vibrancy of our community. As a human centric organization, a priority is to ensure we have the “right seats” in our organization, and that the expectations, ownership and accountabilities are defined and communicated clearly for the success of the individuals holding the seats.
The Assistant Athletic Director for Athletic for Ticket Sales and Operations will report to the Director of Athletics and will serve as the primary contact for all ticket sales and operations. The individual will oversee the administration of all planning, operations and fiscal management of the athletic ticket office. This individual will develop, manage and execute a comprehensive ticket sales plan for the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. This area provides exceptional patron service by assisting sport programs, partnering with event services vendors, and managing events to ensure the fans, alumni, and public have as safe and enjoyable event experience. The Assistant Athletic Director for Ticket Sales and Operations contributes to the overall success of the Department Athletics by performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

CAPACITY REQUIREMENTS
• Generate revenue and service customers by transacting ticket sales by telephone, mail, and walk in service as well as at home athletic events.
• Create and maintain event online sales including control of inventory, sales, online updates, mailing and balancing year end reports.
• Maintain customer satisfaction by providing athletic ticket information; attract potential customers, and retain existing customers, by answering questions and/or providing related customer service. Advise customers by providing information about cost, seat location, delivery of tickets and payment.
• Prospect and target new ticketing leads on campus and throughout the Grand Junction community.
• Strengthen the excitement for CMU Athletics by building relationships with new and existing CMU fans through creating timely touch points.
• Hire, schedule and train event gameday ticketing staff.
• Oversee ticketing activities related to hosting NCAA/RMAC championships and serve as tournament manager.
• Prepare transaction forms by preparing cash, tickets, cash registers, and transaction forms for all events.
• Manage athletic facility scheduling, serving as liaison with campus departments.
• Oversee athletic ticket office operations, advance sales, and ticket policy including hiring, training, and supervising ticket office staff
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE FOR RIGHT FIT
• Bachelor’s degree from accredited university is required; a master’s degree preferred in related field. One year required experience in related field is required; two years’ experience preferred. Experience with online ticketing software (i.e. Vivenu) preferred.
