Position Summary
Reporting to the Director of Athletics, the Assistant Athletic Director for Game Day & Practice Operations will oversee the daily operational management of Mercy University Athletics. This role serves as the primary lead for game day and practice operations, supporting 12 NCAA athletic teams by coordinating scheduling, facilities, staffing, and event logistics to enhance student-athlete and spectator experiences.

Women: Basketball, Field Hockey, Lacrosse, Soccer, Softball, Volleyball, Flag Football
Men: Baseball, Basketball, Lacrosse, Soccer, Volleyball (launching 2027)
Key Responsibilities
Lead game day operations and event preparation for all home athletic contests
Coordinate facility set-up and breakdown for all sports and practices
Manage master game, practice, and departmental activity schedules
Collaborate with coaches to support practice operations, equipment, and venue needs
Supervise game day staffing and student workers, including the Federal Work Study program
Oversee on-campus athletic venues to ensure safe, professional, and operational conditions
Partner with campus departments and external vendors to maintain high-quality playing environments

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required
2–4 years of athletics operations or event management experience preferred
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills
Additional Requirements
Evening and weekend availability required
Travel required
On-call emergency availability required
This is an in-person position based in Dobbs Ferry, New York
