Position Overview
Central State University seeks a dedicated Part-Time Athletic Trainer to support the sports medicine program and assist in providing quality healthcare for student-athletes across 13 NCAA Division II programs. This position reports directly to the Head Athletic Trainer and contributes to injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, and game/practice coverage as assigned.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist with injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation programs.
• Provide on-site coverage for practices, home competitions, and occasional travel as assigned.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation in accordance with NCAA, SIAC, NATA, and CSU standards.
• Support the Head Athletic Trainer with administrative duties, inventory management, and implementing sports medicine protocols.
• Communicate injury updates and treatment plans to coaches and student-athletes.
• Collaborate with team physicians and medical partners under the direction of the Head Athletic Trainer.
• Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training or related field.
• BOC Certification.
• Eligible for Ohio AT licensure.
• CPR, First Aid, AED certified.
• 1–3 years of athletic training experience (collegiate preferred).
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Master’s degree.
• Experience in NCAA or Division II setting.
