We are searching for an Assistant Athletic Trainer to be assigned to Varsity programs within the DAPER athletic training department. You will provide athletic training services to the Stanford University student-athletes. You will communicate regularly with team physicians, coaches, administrators, parents, and support staff responsible for the health, wellbeing, and performance of our student athletes. This is a fixed-term position based on the Stanford main campus with an end date of June 30, 2028.

To be successful in this role, you will:

A master’s degree in athletic training or related field. Post master’s experience as a Certified Athletic Trainer at the college or university level, or a combination of education and relevant experience. Experience working with high caliber athletes in Olympic sports highly preferred.

Certifications and Licenses required:

• Be currently NATABOC certified

• Possess outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

• Hold current CPR, First Aid, and AED certification, or ability to obtain by start date.

• Must possess and maintain a valid California non-commercial Class C Driver’s License.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities required:

• Working knowledge of electronic medical record keeping

• Working knowledge of HIPAA requirements.

• Strong clinical skill development

• Working knowledge of emerging evidence-based practices.

• Ability to work long hours with irregular schedules and frequent travel.

• Ability to engage in physically demanding, manual tasks.

Preferred qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience designing and implementing return to play protocols for high-level athletes, preferably in football or other collision sports

• Proficiency in the use and interpretation of objective performance data, including GPS tracking, force plate analytics, or movement screening systems

• Strong collaborative experience with sports performance, and medical teams, with a focus on integrated care and communication

• Experience managing and analyzing injury and performance data to inform rehab progression, workload decisions, and reconditioning strategies

• Advanced knowledge or certification in areas such as corrective exercise, movement screening, strength & conditioning, or sport science applications (e.g., CES, PES, CSCS, FMS, TPI, or equivalent)

The expected pay range for this position is $83,321 per annum.
