Apply NowThis full-time, year-round position provides an Assistant Athletic Trainer in the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. The primary responsibilities include assisting the Director of Sports Medicine for the athletic department in providing injury prevention, evaluation, management, treatment and rehabilitation to the intercollegiate athletic population at CSU Pueblo. This position will serve as the lead trainer for various sports that will be determined in consultation with the Director. Additional responsibilities include supervision of athletic training students in our CAATE-Accredited program, team travel, assistance in other sports as assigned by the Direct and Associate Director as well as other duties assigned by the Vice President for Athletics and Strategic Partnerships. The Assistant Athletic Trainer will provide other duties assigned by the Director of Sports Medicine and/or Vice President for Athletics and Strategic Partnerships.
Primary Duties
Preparing student-athletes for workouts, practices, and competitions.
Providing evaluations of, treatment for, and rehabilitation of, athletic injuries for collegiate student-athletes.
Athletics Training administrative duties include, but are not limited to; maintaining a complete medical records filing system for students to utilize in the educational process, providing sufficient opportunity for appropriate student review and utilization of commonly used administrative records and forms (i.e. accident reports, treatment records, insurance forms, etc.) in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Acting as a liaison between student-athletes, coaches, administration, parents, medical personnel, and other support staff in matters of health and welfare of student-athletes.
Ancillary Duties:
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Sports Medicine and/or Vice President for Athletics and Strategic Partnerships.
Salary Range
$41,000 - 55,000
