JOB SUMMARY** :**

Under specific/routine supervision, the Assistant Athletic Trainer assists the Head Athletic Trainer with overall care of men's and women's intercollegiate athletic program.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES** :**

  • Provide coverage at assigned games and practice sessions;
  • Oversee work-study students and/or student intern athletic trainer(s);
  • Provide quality care for athletic injuries including evaluation, prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of injuries and related illness;
  • Document injuries;
  • Process insurance claims;
  • Perform other administrative duties as they arise;
  • Maintain confidentiality of information (including but not limited to: student and employee personal information, student grades, etc.), both during and after their employment with the University. Any question regarding the confidentiality of material, should be referred to the supervisor. Any violation shall subject the employee to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
