Position Summary
The UIC Department of Intercollegiate Athletics invites applicants for the Assistant Athletic Trainer position to join our team of dedicated and highly skilled professionals. The Assistant Athletic Trainer is responsible for the evaluation and assessment of injuries and illness, administer treatment and provides care, prevention, and rehabilitative services for student-athletes. Additionally, provide practice and competitive event coverage
Duties & Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in kinesiology or a related field and a minimum of two years' experience are required.
National Athletic Trainers’ Association certification and State of Illinois Department of Professional Regulation license required. Knowledge of Conference rules and regulations.
CPR and safety certifications.
Direct knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations required.
Knowledge of MS office applications.
Effective communication skills.
