Perform a variety of duties involved in the administration, evaluation, treatment, care, and rehabilitation of student-athletes within the University of Nebraska Athletic Department. The focus of responsibilities will be with the sport of Track & Field, including practice and meet coverage, and any required travel. Adherence to all
NCAA
, conference, and institutional rules and regulations will be required. The selected candidate will have a demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion. Required travel with the team will involve working long hours, nights, weekends, and some holidays.

Professional degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s). In Athletic Training from a
CAATE
accredited program. and 1 year of experience as a certified athletic trainer in a collegiate setting. Experience in diverse, athletic training environments. Strong desire for individual and collaborative growth. Effective communication skills.

certification and ability to obtain Nebraska State licensure required. Emergency response certification (

, basic life support) required. Must have a valid driver’s license and meet University driver eligibility requirements.
1 year or more experience as full-time, certified athletic trainer within
NCAA
or professional athletics. Previous experience providing treatment and rehabilitation of injuries to student athletes in an
NCAA
D-1 Track & Field program. Previous experience in Big Ten Conference a plus. Additional continuing education certification (
CES
,
PES
, etc.) preferred.
