Job Description

Missouri S&T, a NCAA II institution in the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) is accepting applications for an assistant baseball coach. In this full-time position, the assistant coach is responsible for assisting the head coach in the development and maintenance of an effective and competitive NCAA Division II baseball program at Missouri S&T. Specific responsibilities include planning and assisting with practices, teaching baseball strategies, skills, and techniques, scouting opponents, recruiting high caliper student athletes on and off-campus, coordinating fundraising and community service activities, and supervising the overall academic and well-being of student-athletes. The individual will also assist with field maintenance and preparation and administrative duties such as scheduling travel, purchasing equipment, and camps. The individual must have strong communication skills and be able to collaborate effectively with others. The successful candidate must embrace the academic rigor and mission of the University by recruiting high achieving student-athletes. He or she must be able to demonstrate excellence within their career. This person will be added to a talented athletic department staff comprised of positive, enthusiastic coaches who have the skill-set to build S&T athletics into a nationally ranked Division II program. This position must adhere to NCAA, GLVC, and institutional rules and policies.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in related/ relevant area or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications

Experience coaching at the intercollegiate level.

Anticipated Hiring Range

The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $38,000-$40,000 annually.

Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual’s particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
