Minot State University, an NCAA Division II institution and proud member of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC), is seeking applications for the position of Assistant Baseball Coach. This full-time, 12-month position is responsible for the organization, development, and leadership of all facets of the men’s basketball program. • Manage aspects of the baseball program as determined by the head coach, including team strategy, coaching, recruitment, planning team travel, and logistics.
• Foster a competitive and positive program culture that supports the academic and athletic development of student-athletes.
• Coordinate with the Assistant AD for Compliance and Student Life to ensure eligibility and adherence to NCAA, NSIC, and institutional regulations.
• Organize and assist head coach in facilitating regular team practices, workouts, and skill development sessions.
• Assist and execute a strategic recruitment plan to attract and retain quality student-athletes.

• Engage in fundraising efforts and organize youth instructional camps to support and promote the baseball program.
• Collaborate with the Assistant Director of Athletics for Strategic Communications and Media Relations to ensure accurate and timely dissemination of program news, statistics, and promotional materials.
• Track and support the academic progress and overall welfare of student-athletes within the program.
• Promote strong community and alumni relations, enhancing the visibility and reputation of the baseball program on and off campus.
• Maintain high ethical standards and model sportsmanship and leadership.
• Participate in departmental meetings, campus committees, and other initiatives supporting the broader university community.

Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Collegiate coaching experience strongly preferred
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and motivational abilities
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Successful completion of a criminal history background check required before employment
