Position Summary:
The Assistant Baseball Coach will have the responsibility of helping the head baseball coach in all aspects of this NCAA Division I baseball program.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Other job-related duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned by the Head Baseball Coach or Director of Athletics, at any time, with or without notice. Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree required
At least 2 years of college coaching experience with proven recruiting at the NCAA Division I level desired
Experience competing as a NCAA Division I baseball athlete desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to teach the game of baseball at a high level all within a professional setting.
Communicate effectively to all groups through both oral and written channels.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
Knowledge of Microsoft Applications, standard methods of digital communication, and social media platforms
Demonstrate tact, a positive attitude, courtesy and discretion in interactions with university faculty, staff, student athletes, coaches, officials, trainers, all others associated with athletic programs, and the public.
Work independently as well as function effectively in a team and within a diverse group of people.
Ability to work evenings/weekends/holiday breaks
Availability to travel, including overnight stays
Exercise independent judgment in complex, new and/or stressful situations.
