1. Player Development and Coaching:
   • Develops individual players' skills, addressing physical, mental, and position-specific needs.
   • Monitors and evaluates player development, designing practice techniques to enhance fundamental skills.
   • Collaborates with athletic trainers and strength coaches to create tailored drills and exercises.
2. Recruitment and Scouting:
   • Scouts potential talent at games and tournaments to assess skills and suitability for the team.
   • Recommends scholarships based on talent evaluation.
   • Scouts opponents to analyze strengths, weaknesses, and develop game strategies accordingly.
3. Game Strategy and Analysis:
   • Analyzes game films and scouting reports to devise effective strategies.
   • Develops game plans based on competitive analysis of opponents.
4. Camp Director Responsibilities:
   • Organizes camp activities and manages registration processes.
   • Recruits and supervises camp staff.
   • Ensures financial objectives are met.
5. Team Travel Coordination:
   • Assists with team travel logistics, including accommodations, meals, transportation, and scheduling.
   • Negotiates pricing for travel arrangements and manages budget allocations.
6. Academic Support and Community Engagement:
   • Monitors players' academic progress and study table requirements.
   • Facilitates meetings with academic advisors to track and support players' academic development.
   • Coordinates community outreach opportunities and transportation for team involvement.

Typical Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or playing experience in a Major League Baseball organization’s system.

• Evidence of sound organizational and communication skills

• Ability to interact effectively with student-athletes, colleagues, and the public

• Four years collegiate playing experience or combined collegiate and professional playing experience totaling 4 years

• Two seasons of coaching experience (this includes graduate assistantships or volunteer coaching positions based on NCAA guidelines)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree

• NCAA Division I experience

• Knowledge of University, Conference, and NCAA rules and regulations.
