Essential Functions

The Landscaper is responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor recreation fields at the Basin Sports Park under the direction of Event Management.

Essential Functions

The Assistant Baseball Coach will support the Head Coach in all aspects of managing a competitive baseball program. The Assistant Baseball Coach will help mentor student-athletes, promote team-building, and ensure the overall success of the program. The Landscaper is responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor recreation fields at the Basin Sports Park under the direction of Event Management.

Assistant Coach

1. Assist the Head Coach in preparing and implementing daily practice sessions, game strategies, and training schedules.
   
2. Help with the recruitment of student-athletes.
   
3. Supervise and mentor players during practices and games, providing both individual and team instruction.
   
4. Monitor and ensure the student-athletes’ academic and athletic performance.
   
5. Assist with organizing team events, such as team-building activities and fundraisers.
   
6. Help maintain player discipline, following all school and league rules and regulations.
   
7. Evaluate player performance and provide constructive feedback.
   
8. Manage equipment and facility needs, ensuring everything is in good working condition.
   
9. Maintain a positive and supportive team culture and environment.
   
10. Assist with travel arrangements for away games and tournaments.

Landscaper

1. Perform lawn care duties such as mowing.
   
2. Maintain clean work areas, disposing of debris, clippings, and waste.
   
3. Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures while working with tools and equipment.
    

Required Qualifications

1. Experience playing or coaching baseball at the collegiate or professional level.
   2.Knowledge of baseball fundamentals, strategies, and coaching techniques.
   
2. CPR, First Aid, and AED certification
   
3. Ability to operate landscaping equipment and understanding of irrigation systems, fertilizers, and pest control

Preferred Qualifications

1. Experience in landscaping or horticulture
   
2. Ability monitor and ensure the student-athletes’ academic and athletic performance.

Schedule

Generally, the normal work hours for the university are Monday through Thursday, 7:30 – 5:30 pm; Friday, 8:00 am – 12:00 pm with a one-hour lunch. The individual holding this position may need to be available early morning, evening, and on weekends to meet the needs of the department. Hours worked may differ with some departments.

Standard Working Conditions

1. Able to lift various materials up to 25 pounds on an occasional basis.
   
2. Able to bend, crouch, and reach continuously.
   
3. Physically able remain seated, frequently to continuously.
   
4. Able to remain standing up to 15% of the time.
   
5. Possesses dexterity abilities required to perform job duties including extensive keyboard work, operating office equipment, performing filing, and other job-related responsibilities that include extensive wrist and hand movement.
   
6. Standard working conditions may differ depending on department and occupation
