Monitor study hall; make sure players complete necessary hours each week. Perform periodic academic checks; ensure student athletes aregetting progress reports completed and signed by professors. Arrange tutors as neededfor student athletes.
Work with players and Associate A.D. for Academics on schedulesand to ensure that satisfactory progress toward graduation is occurring with all studentathletes.

Assistant coach must work to help the program’s compliance with NCAA, Atlantic Sun Conference, and LU rules and regulations. Assistant coach must keeprecords of weekly activities, recruiting activities for staff and on-campus official/unofficialrecruiting visits. Responsible for evaluating prospects’ transcripts and for verificationprocess with LU Admissions Office.
Conduct off-campus recruiting and talent evaluation. Coordinate periodic Scoutware emails to recruits. Lead and coordinate on-campus official/unofficial visits.

Assist head coach with scheduling.
Primary responsibility for ordering all equipment and gear as needed on an annual basis.
Primaryresponsibility for coordination with in-coming student athletes for admissions andhousing-related activities.
Primary responsible for detailed computer reports for in gameand practice video evaluation.
Also responsible for weekly opponents scouting reports.
Must have experience with field maintenance duties to assist graduate assistant withthese duties.
Assistant to promote an attitude among student athletes that winning isimportant but is secondary to the good sportsmanship and the overall welfare of theathlete.
Student Mentoring and Leadership: Be a leader among the student athletes.
Assist with the spiritual development of the student athletes, meet with players one-on-one, and beavailable for the team members.
Maintain an environment in which athletes can gainself-esteem and develop a positive self-image.
Demonstrate an interest in and promoteexcellence among the student-athletes in the classroom, in community service efforts, incharacter development and in off-season activities.
Provide leadership that promotespositive attitudes, good sportsmanship, and Christian character.
Provide ongoingindividual support and guidance for team members.
Supervise, where applicable, graduate assistants and volunteers.
Should be able to lead in a way that exhibits Christian character, promotes teamwork, andencourages a positive, efficient work environment.
Assist as requested by the Director of Athletics, Associate Directors of Athletics or Head Coach with promotional and fundraising effortsfor the Baseball program, the athletic department and Lipscomb University as a whole.
Assistance will include appearances on behalf of program, coordination of appearancesby other coaches and student-athletes, communications activities to media, campus,donors or others as requested by staff, work with staff to support fund-raising events andinitiatives. All activities in this area to be in compliance with NCAA, Atlantic SunConference and Lipscomb University rules and regulations.
Work regularly performed in exterior conditions with exposure to chemicals.
Position requires occasional or frequent moderate physical activity.
Requires normal courteous interaction and basic interpersonal skills and tact to communicate with others.
