Emporia State University Intercollegiate Athletics is seeking an Assistant Business Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES:
GENERAL:
Completes specialized bookkeeping and administrative duties in order to facilitate the work of a specific University accounting section.
Maintains records and reconciles transactions.
Performs moderately complex tasks involving preparation of paperwork, processing transactions, running queries, generating reports, and answering questions regarding accounting transactions.
Requires experience that is most often gained by performing accounting and bookkeeping tasks in the specific accounting section.
Requires basic knowledge of accounting practices and specific knowledge of university procedures.
Applies that knowledge to deliver effective bookkeeping, audit, and reconciliation functions.
FINANCIAL AND BUDGETING DUTIES:
Work within budget limits and guidelines as established by the department.
ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES:
Input financial transactions, including invoicing, reimbursements, and deposits. Compliance with KBOR policies.
Monitor accounts and assist the Athletic Fiscal Manager to manage budget and funds.
Assist the Athletic Fiscal Manager with processing, policies and procedures.
Gather data for mandatory reports.
Monitor and reconcile Athletic Credit Cards and prepare monthly report and review transactions for the Athletic Fiscal Manager approval.
QUALIFICATIONS:
This position requires a High School diploma or equivalent, as well as four years of related professional experience in an accounting function.
A related post-secondary degree may substitute for the required experience
COMPENSATION:
Salary: $20.87 - $23.00 hourly
Qualifications and previous experience will be considered for placement of base rank and salary.
