Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position.
Knowledge of
NCAA
rules and regulations.
Knowledge of general university policies and procedures.
Ability to prepare and conduct training for tennis student-athletes.
Skill in the assessment and recruitment of prospective tennis student-athletes.
Bachelors’ degree with additional consideration for Master’s degree.
Experience playing or coaching golf at the collegiate level.
Responsible for recruiting, developing, and providing direct & independent coaching to student-athletes in assistance to the Head Coach.
The Assistant Tennis Coach is responsible for the direct and independent coaching of student-athletes during practice and tournaments, the assessment and recruitment of prospective student-athletes, creation of individualized development plans for each student-athlete, monitoring the academic progress of Tennis student-athletes, facilitating team meetings, participating in public relations, marketing and fund raising for the Tennis program and the athletic department and complying with
NCAA
and Texas State University rules and regulations.
