Job Summary:

The Assistant Cross Country/Track & Field Coach is responsible for assisting with all phases of the men’s and women’s NCAA Division II cross country and track & field programs while upholding the mission and values of Regis University. This position plays a key role in fostering the holistic development of student-athletes academically, athletically, and personally within a values-driven, inclusive environment.

Primary responsibilities include recruiting and evaluating prospective student-athletes, scouting opponents, analyzing film, assisting with meet and practice planning, on-field coaching, player development, and supporting student-athlete academic success. The Assistant Coach also contributes to team operations, fundraising efforts, and community engagement initiatives. If the Head Coach is unable to fulfill their duties, the Assistant Coach will assume those responsibilities as assigned.

The ideal candidate will bring strong communication skills, a collaborative approach, and excellent organizational abilities. By building meaningful relationships, mentoring student-athletes, and promoting integrity, service, and teamwork, the Assistant Coach helps create a culture that reflects Regis University’s Jesuit values of excellence, leadership, and community.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

The assistant coach shall perform all duties pertaining to the cross country/track & field programs as assigned by the head coach. Duties include but are not limited to:
