Job Description

The University of Nevada, Athletics Department is recruiting for an Assistant Coach, Track and Cross Country. This position is responsible for teaching and training of technical information related to the performance of the sport, instruction related to technique of the sport, student-athlete conditioning, and tutoring regarding practice methods and imparting strategies for competing.   Assistant coaches assist with recruitment and retention of student-athletes, public relations, program promotion and program administration. Higher level assistant coaches may advise student-athletes regarding athletic, academic and social issues and assist the Head coach in management duties such as guiding junior coaches, budgeting, and logistical coordination

Required Qualifications 

Bachelor’s Degree with two years of related work experience; OR a Master’s Degree with one year of related work experience

Related Experience: Team coaching experience at an NCAA I, II, III, NAIA, Junior College or high school level or related/professional level experience.

Grants-in-aid for Faculty Employees
