Job Description

The University of Jamestown is seeking a full-time Assistant Wrestling Coach to join our NCAA Division II program for the upcoming season. As a member of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC), UJ Wrestling is committed to competing at a high level while developing student-athletes on and off the mat.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Coach with planning and running practices, workouts, and competition strategies
  • Support team operations including travel planning, scheduling, and day-to-day program management
  • Contribute to all phases of recruiting, including identifying and evaluating prospects, conducting visits, and building relationships with recruits and their families
  • Mentor student-athletes in academic, athletic, and personal development
  • Uphold NCAA, NSIC, and institutional standards of conduct and compliance

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong background in freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling
  • Collegiate wrestling experience, preferably with proven success at the NCAA level
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
