Assistant Coach for Strength & Conditioning (12-month appointment: August 15, 2025 – August 14, 2026)
Scope of Position:
Responsible for all aspects of developing and implementing strength and conditioning programs for our varsity collegiate teams. Utilize organizational skills to manage strength and conditioning facilities and programming for designated teams.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Delivers strength and conditioning services to members of the varsity collegiate teams Including but not limited to: scheduling, designing and administering programming, serving as a resource for nutritional education, and other duties as assigned
• Design and daily administration of strengthening, stretching, agility/plyometric, speed development and all conditioning exercises to assigned teams in order to obtain desired results.
• Provide instruction in safe and effective spotting procedures for all lifts to ensure maximum effect of the exercise and the safety of the athlete is maintained
• Administer and evaluate testing procedures to identify both student-athlete and team strengths and weaknesses
• Manage and maintain inventory and strength & conditioning infrastructure
• Establish a good line of communication with coaches of designated teams
• Performs other duties not specifically stated herein but deemed essential to the operation of the strength & conditioning program as assigned by the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach.

Required Qualifications:
• BA/BS degree in exercise science, kinesiology, health, or related field
• CSCS certification
• Strength & conditioning coaching experience at the collegiate, international, professional or similar level
• Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills
• Knowledge and experience using Microsoft excel and other applications
Preferred Qualifications:
• MA/MS degree in exercise science, kinesiology, health, or related field from regionally accredited university
• USAW certification
• 3 years strength & conditioning coaching experience at the collegiate setting
• Demonstrated strong oral and interpersonal skills coach
Pay Range: $45,500 - $50,000; depending on education/qualifications/experience
Time Appointment Category: 75%-100% Appointment (If job description above does not specify appointment or expected weekly hours, assume a 100% appointment.)
