Stanford Athletics is currently accepting applications for the position of Assistant Coach, Goalkeeper & Defense Coordinator, Field Hockey. The Assistant Coach is responsible for assisting the Head Coach, including but not limited to coaching the varsity field hockey team, as well as assisting with the administration of recruiting, training, practice, team management, budget management, and team travel. Goalkeeper Specialist Assistant Coach also has the opportunity to participate in summer camp operations consistent with institutional and NCAA regulations. This is a one-year fixed-term position.

Your responsibilities include :

    • Practice design of Goalkeeper training sessions, assessment, and individual growth plans for each.
    • Assist the Head Coach with defensive principles and defensive unit play.
    • Daily coding and video being sent to GK’s and team members.
    • Game Day coding/filming.
    • Support and facilitate a healthy team culture that supports the development of grounded self-awareness and growth mindset, selfless teamwork, personal and team integrity, and competitive greatness.
    • Help plan and organize team training and practice sessions, and use video analysis to provide feedback to players, within NCAA regulations and with respect for the academic demands of Stanford student-athletes.
