Position Summary:
Assist the Head Coach in the general leadership of the men’s basketball team, including coaching, scheduling, conditioning, practices and recruiting.
Essential Functions:
Coaching, recruiting, scheduling games and team travel, player evaluation, running practices and work-outs, monitoring athlete scholarships, academic progress and class schedules, remaining apprised of MIAA & NCAA rules and regulations.
Maintain a healthy and fair work environment by exercising teamwork and collaboration. Actively promote a professional workplace culture of mutual respect and collegiality for all members of the institution. As a team leader and motivator, work to build positive and cooperative relationships with staff, encouraging them to work toward individual and departmental goals.
Non-Essential Functions:
Attend conferences and meetings.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and experience in coaching and/or playing basketball.
Must have a valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets the University standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree.
Experience in college athletics.
Experience coaching at the college level, NAIA or NCAA.
Experience in Men’s basketball.
Recruiting experience.
Exempt, Full time
