| Job Description Summary |
BASIC FUNCTION:
Under the direction of the Head Coach, assist with the successful administration of the baseball program, including teaching, motivating, evaluating, and recruiting qualified high caliber student athletes.

| Duties and Responsibilities |
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist Head Coach in the evaluation and recruitment of prospective student athletes.
Assist Head Coach in the training and development of players, assist in scouting reports during the season.
Assist in team travel arrangements, game management, and equipment management.
Assist in fundraising projects, camps, and clinics.
Maintain the recruiting databases.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Be involved in the local baseball community.
Comply with all NCAA, University and Atlantic 10 Conference policies and regulations.
Perform other duties as required.
LICENSES, TOOLS, AND EQUIPMENT:
NCAA Rules Certification Certificate; personal computers and Microsoft Office software products.

| Required Qualifications |
REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree.
Minimum two years collegiate coaching experience and/or four years professional playing experience.
Demonstrated leadership ability and organizational skills in a baseball program.
Demonstrated strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
Demonstrated proficiency in written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to teach, motivate, evaluate, and recruit qualified high caliber student athletes.
Minimum two years of experience recruiting at the collegiate level.
Demonstrated computer skills (including ability to maintain recruiting databases).
Willingness to be involved in the local baseball community.
Demonstrated knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations as they apply to recruitment and player eligibility.
Demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups/populations.
Appointment subject to NCAA violation report clearance and the successful completion of NCAA rules certification exam.

| Preferred Qualifications |
PREFERRED:
Division I collegiate playing experience.
Minimum two years collegiate coaching experience at the Division I level.
