JOB SUMMARY:

Under general supervision the Assistant Men's Hockey Coach assists the head coach in developing student athletes academically and athletically for the men's hockey program.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Assist the head hockey coach in the development and management of the hockey program under the regulations of the university, the NCAA and AHA
  • Assist in recruiting for the Hockey program. Responsibilities include helping with coordinating all recruiting operations for evaluating/contacting prospective student-athletes. Conduct games evaluations and coach assignments.
  • Offensive Coordinator, practice and skill creation and development.
  • Lead the penalty kill.
  • Perform Camp Director functions which include; scheduling all camps, promoting camps to prospective campers, executive coach on the ice and complete all hiring for camp staff.
  • International liaison for the hockey program and Niagara University. Coordinate all International paperwork for the student-athletes.
  • Provide motivation, counseling and supervision for student athletes.
