Charleston Southern University is seeking a passionate and dedicated Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach to join our NCAA Division I program. Reporting directly to the Head Women’s Soccer Coach, this 12-month contract position plays a key role in supporting the development of student-athletes both on and off the field. The ideal candidate will embrace and uphold the academic and Christian mission of Charleston Southern University while contributing to the success and integrity of the Women’s Soccer program.

Key Responsibilities

• Coaching & Player Development: Assist in planning and executing team practices, game strategies, and player development programs in alignment with NCAA regulations.
• Recruiting & Talent Identification: Support recruiting efforts by identifying and evaluating potential student-athletes who align with the program’s needs and values.
• Compliance & Administration: Ensure adherence to all NCAA rules and regulations while coordinating with the compliance office, Admissions, and Financial Aid.
• Academic Support: Work alongside academic staff to monitor student-athletes’ academic progress, ensuring they meet eligibility requirements and successfully complete their degrees.
• Fundraising & Program Support: Assist in fundraising initiatives in collaboration with the Head Coach. Manage budget-related tasks in coordination with the Business Operations Assistant.
• Leadership & Representation: Represent Charleston Southern University and the Athletics Department with professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to Christian values.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Attributes

Education:

Bachelor’s degree is required.

Experience:
Collegiate and/or professional coaching experience in soccer.
Competitive playing experience at the collegiate or professional level.
Experience with ARMS, JumpForward, or similar athletic management software.

Required Skills & Attributes

• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant technologies.
• Demonstrated Christian character, integrity, and professionalism in interactions with student-athletes, staff, and the community.
