The Assistant Sports Performance Coach for Basketball works under the direction of both men's and women's basketball performance coaches. Responsibilities include assisting and developing athlete monitoring databases, integrating all men¿s and women¿s sport technology for the advancement of student athlete performance and health. Also assist in daily strength and conditioning operations and oversight of undergraduate intern program. Other duties as assigned.
40% - Essential - Lead data collection, analysis, and communication of comprehensive athlete monitoring system, Kitman Labs. Utilize technology including but not limited to Sparta Science, Oura Ring, Body Kinexon, Subjective Questionnaires. Collaborate with athletic medicine, sport performance, nutrition, behavior health and coaching staff to optimize athlete health, wellness, and performance. Provide insight/feedback to customize data management software. Collaborate with sports nutrition, sports medicine, sports performance, and behavioral health personnel as part of a performance team.
20% - Essential - Assists the Directors with implementing and developing basketball sports strength and conditioning programs. Assist in overseeing the scheduling and daily operations of the strength- training facility at the Littlejohn weight room. Manages operations assigned by the Directors with limited oversight.
15% - Essential - Implement and direct internship program with basketball strength and conditioning. Design and create a sport science and strength and conditioning curriculum. Oversee and direct daily responsibility and intern development.
15% - Essential - Ensures compliance with University, NCAA, and ACC rules, regulations and policies and procedures. Provides a safe environment in which student-athletes can train. Ensures facility and equipment meet applicable standards of safety. Enforces policies and procedures developed to ensure the safety of individuals training in the facility.
10% - Essential - Communicates the programmatic offerings within the Basketball Sport Strength and Conditioning programs to prospective student-athletes during visits to the Clemson University campus.
Education - Bachelor's Degree - Exercise science or related field with relevant experience.
Experience - Significant experience in a high-performance environment specializing in athlete performance monitoring, data collection and reporting.
Licenses & Certifications - Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS)
Education - Master's Degree

Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.
