Assist coaches with recruiting management, design and distribute recruiting materials, and assist in coordinating and organizing campus visits.
Prepare and operate daily practices, including creating practice plans and conducting post-practice reviews.
Provide coaches with data for player meetings, including breakdowns of practice and game film.
Assist in the preparation of scouting reports to enhance team performance.
Manage selected game day duties as assigned by the coaches for both home and away games.
Build relationships to benefit NIL programming and the alumni database.

This is a full-time, temporary position. The anticipated end date is one year from the date of hire, with the possibility of reappointment.
This appointment is for a 10/12 pay-plan position meaning the incumbent works 10 months per year and is paid over 12 months. The specific months off will be determined based on the hire date, pay plan requirements, and departmental needs.
Position is designated non-exempt under FLSA and is eligible for overtime compensation.
Standard SDSU work hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., but may vary based on operational needs.
The individual hired into this role will work on campus at SDSU in San Diego.
The Department of Athletics, utilizing the services of over 150 employees, is responsible for the intercollegiate athletics program at San Diego State University. Currently, there are 18 sport programs, approximately 450 student-athletes, and 17 offices in the department. The offices include the following: The Aztec Club, Administration, Athletic Medicine, Business Office, Compliance, Corporate Sales, Development, Equipment, Event Management/Facilities and Operations, Human Resources, Information Technology, Marketing, Media Relations, Strength and Conditioning, Student-Athlete Academic Support Services, Ticket Office, and Video.

Six months to two years basketball coaching experience.
Experience working in an athletics/sports office in an administrative support capacity.
Experience working in an NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Program.
Experience assisting with various events, including marketing events.
Working knowledge of purchasing policies and procedures.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Gmail, Synergy software, ARMS/Teamworks.
University employees that have direct job responsibilities involving intercollegiate athletics are expected to have knowledge and understanding of NCAA, conference and University rules, policies and procedures governing intercollegiate athletics. Additionally, they are required to notify the appropriate personnel of any knowledge of, or should have known of, any violation or suspected violation of NCAA, conference, or University regulations.
Valid California driver’s license within 10 days of hire.
Starting salary upon appointment is not expected to exceed $5,507 per month.
Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department’s fiscal resources.
