Position Title: Assistant Coach, Softball

Department: Softball

Advertised Pay: low to mid $30,000's

Campus Location: Washburn University

The screening committee will review all eligible applications submitted by May 20, 2024

Position Summary: Assist the Head Coach in the general leadership of the women’s softball team, including coaching, scheduling, conditioning, practices and recruiting.

Essential Functions:
• Assist coaches with practices, work-outs, and with monitoring academic progress and class schedules.
• Remain apprised of MIAA & NCAA rules and regulations.
• Support the coaches in maintaining a healthy and fair work environment by promoting teamwork and collaboration.
• Lead by example of being a team leader and motivator, and work to build positive and cooperative relationships with staff, encouraging them to work toward individual and departmental goals.
• Schedule teams, make travel arrangements, ensure scholarships are in place, etc.
