Apply NowThe Assistant Coach, Women's Softball will possess strong leadership qualities such as communication and listening, organization and professionalism, as well as a strong work ethic and passion for instructing, teaching and mentoring student-athletes. The Assistant Coach, Women's Softball will be a self-sufficient employee, willing to take initiative and go above and beyond athletic department expectations. The Assistant Coach, Women's Softball will be willing to help build positive working relationships with all Emory & Henry student-athletes, employees, supervisors, professors, and staff.
Assist the Head Coach with performing team practices, weight lifting, and team meetings. Will be required to lead a specific position group each day at practices. Assist the Head Coach in preparing the practice field each day for practices/games as well as daily and routine upkeep.
Assist the Head Coach in recruiting, scouting, and all other processes involved in bringing in new students each year at Emory & Henry. Must have a competent knowledge of NCAA recruiting rules and strive constantly to comply with those rules.
Lead all efforts for Emory & Henry softball camps including scheduling and organizing, as well as spearheading all social media outlets for the softball program in a way that promotes these events, as well as using social media to promote the Emory & Henry softball program.

Advanced understanding and knowledge of the sport of softball.
Ability to use basic softball field equipment for both field maintenance, and practice/game/coaching functions.
