Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144.
Assists leaders and/or coaches in the day-to-day operations of the Sport Performance facility. Provides assigned student-athletes with a well-rounded program that is up to date with current standards and research. Adheres to all rules and that govern the program. Assists with assigned administrative duties.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Designs, implements and oversees strength and conditioning programs for assigned teams
2. Performs appropriate testing to determine the needs of the specific student-athlete to assist with program development
3. Provides supervision of the weight room facility, maintains equipment and maintains s safe and functioning training facility
4. Reports and documents injuries incurred while training to the appropriate staff and leadership
5. Develops and maintains an internship program in accordance with Kennesaw State University's internship coordinators and the Exercise Science department
6. Organizes, supervises, coordinates and employs sound coaching techniques and practices
7. Assists staff with the design and implementation of a scientifically based program for assigned teams
8. Assists with scheduling and maintenance of the weight room and facilities
9. Assists with daily administrative requirements
10. Assists with functional rehabilitation as assigned
11. Maintains student-athlete program records and reports program status to coaches
12. Directs the intern sport performance coaches with day-to-day operations
13. Follows appropriate opening and closing procedures Serves as a Campus Security Authority as defined by the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus
Educational Requirements
Associate's degree from an accredited institution of higher education or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience
Other Required Qualifications
Current, valid, and unrestricted driver's license
Certification for Strength and Conditioning personnel (CSCS and/or SCCC)
Current, and valid CPR/AED certification
Required Experience
Two (2) year relevant experience coaching in a post-secondary level program, professional athlete, professional tour participant or professional coach in a related sport program
Preferred Educational Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education

Serves as a spokesperson for the intercollegiate program
Establishes and maintains effective professional working relationships with student-athletes, faculty, staff, administrators, alumni and the public
Able to deal with multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines
KNOWLEDGE
Possesses a thorough knowledge of and commitment to compliance with all NCAA, and conference, State of Georgia and university policies, rules and regulations
SKILLS
Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, technology, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills
Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e. Microsoft Office suite)
Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
Strong customer service skills and phone etiquette
