Strength and Conditioning programming and supervision for all sports within the athletic department.

Â
Demonstrate proper performance of exercises, ensuring proper execution by clientele for both efficiency and safety; manage programs by monitoring progress and providing assessment tools for development
Recruit, hire and evaluate graduate assistants as well as assign sport coverage between director and two current graduate assistant positions.
Remain updated on current development in strength training and conditioning, and  continuously seek to develop and grow personally and professionally. This includes creating an educational environment for graduate assistant and intern positions.
Ensure that policies and procedures are developed, reviewed, communicated, and implemented consistently across all programs and services.
Assist in scheduling athletic weight room times during the week for all 16 collegiate teams, as well as scheduling open gym times for general population of students and faculty on campus.
Communicate and interact with the sport coaches and athletic training staff of assigned teams on as needed, but no less than once per week Â
Performs other related duties as assigned.Â

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
Required - Certification by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) or certification by the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCA).Â
EXPERIENCEÂ
Required:
A minimum of 2 years of collegiate experience is required.
Preferred:
Five or more years of collegiate experience is preferred.Â

Required:

⢠Must be available to work flexible hours, including early morning and weekend hours.

⢠Must have the ability to work with a diverse constituency including students, parents, coaches, faculty, staff, administrators, and outside contacts.
⢠Must be physically able to demonstrate lifts and maneuvers as well as lift facility equipment.
⢠Must have working knowledge of appropriate computer software.

TRAINING
All new hires and employees transferring into a new position will have a 90-day probationary period within which to learn the functions of the job and to be evaluated. Following the probationary period, the employee can transition to regular status, have the probationary period extended in order to receive more training, or employment can be terminated. Required compliance training is as follows:
60 days being trained on SEU policies, procedures, and expectations.Â

All full-time positions at SEU are deemed security-sensitive and require background checks. Employees required to drive their own personal vehicle, a rental car or an SEU vehicle in performance of their duties must pass an MVR records check and meet the requirements of the Universityâs insurance carrier in order to meet the requirements of the position.
