The Assistant Coach, Strength and Conditioning Coach will aid the head coach in providing leadership and organization for all phases of the strength and conditioning program at Roosevelt in compliance with all institutional, NCAA and Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) rules and regulations. Responsibilities of the Assistant Coach include, but are not limited to, implementation of team and individual strength and conditioning programs, program assessment and record maintenance, collaboration and effective communication with athletic department administration, sport coaches and athletic training staff, management of fitness facilities, as well as other areas as assigned by the head coach.
This is a part-time, exempt position on the Chicago campus
The salary range for this part-time position is $9,000-$10,000

The Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach will work in multiple environments, including areas for team and individual fitness instruction, as well as practice and competition facilities, in addition to an office setting. The position will include nights and weekends. Occasional travel within the local or regional setting may be required.

Strength and Conditioning Program Design and Implementation:
Develop and manage individual, group and team strength and conditioning programs to optimize student-athlete performance and reduce the opportunity for injury during practice and competition. Lead the execution of strength and conditioning programs in compliance with national association and affiliated conference guidelines, highlighting safe and proper technique, while tracking performance. Monitor progress of program, adapting as need for the individual or collective team. | | Percentage Of Time | 80 |

Program Collaboration:
Meet and work collaboratively with the head coach of each sport program to determine need and construct programs accordingly.
