Job Description

Nevada Athletics is recruiting for a Strength and Conditioning Coach who will play a vital role in the development and success of student-athletes both on and off the field. This position is responsible for teaching the technical and strategic aspects of the sport, guiding performance development, and supporting the overall administration of the program.

Assistant Coaches lead the instruction of sport fundamentals, conditioning techniques (including speed, strength, agility, and weight training), and competitive strategies to enhance individual and team performance. They assist in the design and implementation of off-season and in-season training programs, prepare video breakdowns for athlete development, and create a safe and supportive environment during university-sponsored athletic events.

In this role, you will support student-athlete recruitment and retention, contribute to public relations and fundraising efforts, and actively promote audience engagement through university and community events. Higher-level assistant coaches may also coordinate junior staff responsibilities, assist with budgeting, and perform various management duties in collaboration with the Head Coach.

Additional responsibilities include overseeing the intern program and developing its curriculum in partnership with campus affiliates, coordinating the "Return to Sport" program through regular engagement with sports medicine staff and team doctors, and helping manage team nutrition. You’ll be expected to uphold full compliance with NCAA, Conference, and university regulations, with adherence to all related enforcement procedures.
