The SFU Swim program is a high-performance program and one of 19 NCAA Division II varsity sports sponsored by SFU.

About the Role

The successful candidate is responsible for aiding the Head Coach in all coaching responsibilities and in all facets of the program to develop a quality NCAA Division II Swim program that will be competitive in the pool, in the classroom and in the community.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with 5 years coaching experience with high performance athletes aged 16 years and over (i.e. Provincial, National, University/College).

• Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations preferred.
• National Lifeguard Service (NLS) certification and Cardiovascular Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPS) certification.
• Maintain NCCP Competition Development Train to Compete ‘trained’ or higher in swimming, or equivalent.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, as well as the abilities to prioritize duties and pay close attention to details.
• Demonstrated knowledge and analysis of swim development and excellent instructional ability.
• Excellent team management skills including supervisory and mentorship.
