ROLE of the POSITION

This position is responsible for overseeing the Diving portion of the program. The position exists to assist the Head Coach, Swim and Dive, with oversight over all duties related to administration, compliance, and recruiting. The position includes creating and implementing training (which may include strength and conditioning activities), while abiding by all federal, state, NCAA and University laws, rules and regulations.

This position should have a basic knowledge of NCAA rules as it pertain to assigned job duties and the scope of employment.  In addition, this position will be responsible for obtaining proper guidance or approval from Athletics Compliance prior to participating in select activities, as defined by NCAA bylaws or institutional policies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

This position prefers a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). Educational equivalency acceptable (1:1 ratio of education to experience). Must be currently registered as a USA Diving Coach.  Minimum one (1) year of comparable professional experience. Coaching experience at the NCAA level (collegiate). Credentials must be obtained prior to the start date.
