Job Summary

Assists the head coach in all facets of the Women’s Basketball program to ensure a quality program and successful Division I team. Assumes responsibility for at least two of the following basketball program operations: scouting, recruiting coordination, community relations, scheduling, academic supervision, summer camps. Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or state recognized equivalent.
• Experience coaching, participating, or serving in an administrative role in basketball at the high school, collegiate or equivalent level.
• Ability to travel and work evening and weekend hours.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to establish and maintain driver eligibility under the University’s Driving and Motor Vehicle Policy.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Sports Management or related field.
• Experience in practice and game day coaching, recruiting, scheduling, academic support, camps and clinics.
• Experience in recruiting in the Midwest region.
• Excellence in player development and experience with education platforms i.e. Synergy.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

• Knowledge of NCAA and conference rules and legislation and committed to abiding by them.
• Strong organizational and excellent interpersonal skills and have a “Customer Focus” attitude and delivery.
• Possess the ability to effectively plan and coordinate, establish and maintain effective working relationships and prioritize workloads based on available resources.
• Possess the ability to manage projects, meet deadlines and tackle emergencies and difficult situations.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and decision-making abilities.
• Possess a high degree of confidentiality to available information.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and PowerPoint.
