General Information:
James Madison University, a Division I member of the NCAA and Sun Belt Conference, is seeking as Assistant Women's Golf Coach. This us a full-time position with a comprehensive benefits package.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of the Assistant Women’s Golf Coach include but are not limited to:
Coaching, practice organization, recruiting, player development, transportation of players to and from practice, overseeing academic success of players, team travel and other administrative duties along with compliance with NCAA, Sun Belt Conference and JMU regulations.
Qualifications:
Required:
1. A Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
2. Previous playing or coaching experience at the collegiate level
3. A qualified candidate will possess the skills in teaching course management to student-athletes
4. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills and will possess initiative and leadership.
5. The ability to guide and support James Madison University student-athletes in their quest for excellence-academically, athletically and socially as they prepare for productive and meaningful lives is essential.
6. Knowledge and/or expertise of the NCAA recruitment process
Preferred:
1. Experience playing and/or coaching at the Division I level
2. Basic understanding of modern training instruments (i.e. Trackman, Flightscope, etc.)
