Assist the Head Coach and Associate Head Coach in the coaching and administration of a Division I Intercollegiate Women’s Gymnastics program, which includes coaching, meet management for home and away competitions, recruitment of prospective student-athletes, monitoring student-athletes’ academic progress, compliance with university, conference and NCAA rules; alumni relations; fundraising and any other duties as assigned.
In addition, a major component of this position is directing and managing the UNH community gymnastics class program in its entirety. This includes all aspects of this program such as marketing and promotions, hiring and supervising staff, coordinating registration payments, payroll and reconciliation of the budget with the BSC. The position also includes significant travel and evaluation of prospective student-athletes as a major recruiter for the program. This requires passing the NCAA coaches certification test and attending all mandatory NCAA compliance meetings as well as submitting all compliance forms in a timely fashion. This coach must work all weeks of the summer gymnastics camps/clinics as well as assist in the preparation of camps/clinics as assigned by the head coach.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Direct and manage the Community Gymnastics program.
Assist with summer camps and clinics including development, scheduling, marketing and program administration
Assist in training, conditioning, developing and retaining athletically talented student-athletes to compete successfully within the Conference, regionally and/or nationally while ensuring the welfare and safety of student-athletes.
This includes assisting Head Coach and Associate Head Coach in all aspects of practice preparation, pre-game strategies and in-meet management.
Assess talent and actively recruit talented student-athletes to the women’s gymnastics program who are suitable for the UNH academic programs.
Assist the Head Coach and Associate Head Coach with the administration of the program as assigned.
Assist in the maintenance of the equipment and development of the gymnastics facility to safely and effectively train NCAA Division I student-athletes.
Assist the Head Coach and Associate Head Coach in monitoring the budget and providing visiting team information as well as other meet management needs.
Pass the NCAA coaches certification test, attend all mandatory NCAA compliance meetings and maintain appropriate forms and documentation to be reviewed upon request.

Participate in athletic department meetings, represent the University on regional and national committees where appropriate.
Encourage student-athletes to perform to their highest academic potential, monitor, advise and assist the academic progress of student-athletes toward degree requirements to remain eligible.
Monitor the retention eligibility of student-athletes as it impacts the gymnastics academic progress rate (APR) and Graduation Success.
Assist in developing strategies to increase the visibility and attendance at home and away events.
Promote the sport in the state, New England, the region and nationally.
Assist the Head Coach and Associate Head Coach in the pursuit of strong print and electronic media attention
Coach will assist in development and maintenance of a strong alumni, parent and booster support for the team; work with the team’s booster group, the Wildcat Fund and UNH Foundation in an effort to increase annual contributions and scholarships for the team and the Athletics Department
Maintain competency with respect to knowledge of and compliance with state and federal laws, university policies/regulations, conference rules/policies, and NCAA rules, and report to the Director of Athletics your knowledge of any violation of NCAA, conference and/or institutional rules.
Coach will represent the University on a high professional level with dignity, integrity, and strength of character.
Coach must respect the rights and dignity of each student-athlete.
Coach also must display sensitivity to diversity issues and shall work to create an inclusive and welcoming environment.
Coach will make clear to the student-athletes in his or her charge the acceptable standards of behavior and expectations for conduct involving student-athletes.
Minimum Qualifications:
1-2 years of high level gymnastics coaching experience and/or high level of participation in the sport of gymnastics.
Expertise in coaching high level skills in dance/choreography and/or spotting and technical expertise for these skills.
Strong communication and computer skills.
Public relations/fundraising skills.
Strong social media knowledge.
