The Assistant Women's Soccer Coach will assist the head coach in planning and organizing all phases of the NCAA Division I Women's Soccer program including but not limited to on the field coaching, developing game plans, organizing practice sessions, student-athlete mentoring and academic monitoring, recruiting talented student-athletes, organizing community service projects, fundraising, assisting with the organization of the summer camp program and team budget management.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for women's soccer team on field coaching including developing game plans, training and conditioning programs; organizing practice sessions; developing and retaining athletically talented student-athletes to compete successfully within the conference, regionally, and/or nationally.

  • Assess talent and actively recruit talented student athletes to the women's soccer program who are suitable for the UNH academic programs.

  • Assist with all aspects of the women's soccer summer camp program, skills clinics, and other fund raising initiatives to support the women's soccer program.

  • Encourage student-athletes to perform to their highest academic potential, assist in monitoring student-athletes' progress toward degree requirements to remain eligible.

  • Monitor the retention eligibility of student-athletes as it impacts the Women's Soccer team's APR and the University's overall APR (Academic Progress Rate).

  • Organize and engage team members in community service projects

  • Pass the NCAA coaches certification test, participate in athletic department meetings, attend all mandatory NCAA compliance meetings and maintain appropriate forms and documentation in office files to be reviewed upon request.

  • Maintain competency with respect to knowledge of, compliance with, state and federal laws, University policies/regulations, America East conference rules/regulations, and NCAA rules.

  • Report to the Director of Athletics any violations of NCAA, conference, and/or institutional rules.

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of strong alumni, parent, and booster support for the Women's Soccer team, promote the sport in the state, New England, the region and nationally.

  • Assist the head coach in the pursuit of strong print and media attention, Represent the University on a high professional level, with dignity, integrity, and strength of character.
