The assistant women's soccer coach will assist the university in meeting the specified goals of the mission statement and the athletic department through professional women's soccer program management. The goals are to I) provide opportunities and support for SEU student­ athletes to achieve academically and athletically at the highest level and provide programming and resources that help build life skills and a great student-athlete experience 2) provide every opportunity for the women's soccer program to compete for Lone Star Conference Championships every year, 3) operate with quality and integrity in the athletic department's role as a focal point for school identity and spirit, 4) support the community through public service.

For consideration,

• Baccalaureate degree, preferably in Physical Education, Kinesiology, Sports Management, or Exercise Science; Master's Degree preferred.
• Successful background in coaching and/or playing soccer; preferably at the NCAA level.
• United States Soccer 'B' License preferable
• Experience training and providing feedback to Goalkeepers strongly preferred
• Experience creating and implementing soccer fitness periodization strategies strongly preferred
• Ability to successfully pass NCAA recruiting examination within one month of hire.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication, administrative, and organizational skills.
• Basic familiarity, appreciation, and empathy with the role of intercollegiate athletics and its relationship to the university, and the capacity to articulate that role and interact comfortably with those individuals and constituency groups (student-athletes, alumni, coaches, parents, etc.) crucial to the advancement of athletics at SEU.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

• Collaborate with the head coach to evaluate, identify and recruit student-athletes who meet the physical and technical requirements and align with the program's values, academic goals, and team culture; correspondence with prospective student-athletes.
• Maintain accurate recruiting records and NCAA compliance
• Maintain good connections with local club soccer staff
• Organize ID camps, summer youth camps
• Oversee team travel for competition while keeping budget considerations in mind.
• Oversee travel for recruiting purposes
• Oversee equipment purchase and Conditioning.
• Game Day logistics
• Create and implement soccer fitness periodization strategies including warm-ups and conditioning.
• Counsel student-athletes concerning academic progress.
• Organize and supervise community service events
• Track spending and ensure the program stays within budget, managing game-day logistics, travel, and events expenses.
• Manage social media accounts and online presence for the soccer program, ensuring the program's visibility.
• Considering diversity and inclusion practices, promote a positive and inclusive environment for all athletes.
• Foster a team culture that emphasizes respect, equality, and community

Secondary Responsibilities Include:

• Actively assist in the planning and direction of the overall practice strategy: Run aspects of practice to include:
• Conduct video analysis of practice and games
• Maintain relationships with alumnae
• Develop and maintain relationships with parents and other family members
• Assist with recruiting efforts, including club college nights, ID Camps
• Assist with keeping stats and charts during practices and competitions
• Assist with organizing and promoting fundraising events, including player equipment packages and ID camps.
• Participate in marketing efforts to attract recruits and support the team's visibility in the community.
• Chronicle and report NCAA required data to the athletic compliance office.
• Support junior and senior players' leadership development, ensuring strong team dynamics and leadership continu
• Pursue professional development opportunities, including courses, conventions, and reading relevant coaching literature to enhance coaching knowledge.
• Be familiar with and adhere to the principles of Tactical Periodization
• Perform other administrative duties as assigned by Director of Athletics.
• Work collaboratively with coaching staff, athletic administrators, and student-athletes to manage the team's operations and growth.
• Lead by example in maintaining professionalism, organization, and attention to detail in all operations.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• As a full-time assistant coach, you may be required to supervise a graduate assistant position and/or team manager in execution of tasks.
